Woodland Blanket CAL

Ever since I started relearning to crochet, I’ve been a fan of Attic24’s wonderfully colourful blog. Her simple, easy to follow instructions, full of helpful photos, helped me gain confidence as I was getting to grips with using a hook and following a pattern. Over the years I’ve made several blankets using her patterns and absolutely loved joining my first ever CAL last year, resulting in the gorgeous Moorland blanket.

A couple of months ago I was playing around with different colour combinations and came up with my Autumn Rainbow palette. I had planned to make a cosy stripe blanket, but as I popped over to Lucy’s blog to find the pattern, I saw her announcement for another CAL. I had 15 colours in my Autumn Rainbow, and there were 15 colours in the Woodland Blanket – it was obviously meant to be!

I’d booked today as a craft day, a treat to myself on the last day of my holiday. Perfect timing really! I got started on my blanket straight after breakfast and am already enjoying the gentle rhythm of the rippling rows.

A few people have asked about the colours, so here’s my Autumn Rainbow colour list:

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s gorgeous creations over the next few weeks – let me know if you’re joining in with Lucy’s CAL so I can see your blanket too!
