Hello and welcome to WiP Wed! [That’s ‘Work in Progress Wednesday :)]
Here’s what I’m working on at the moment…
This is a runner for the top of my roll top desk. I’ve already started to use it as a landing place, and it’s a useful space to move things to when I’m running out of room on the desk top. But I’d hate for it to get scratched up, so this runner will help to protect the surface. Plus, it’s pink, so what’s not to love?!
The runner is worked in arcade stitch, something I recently came across on Pinterest. I followed a really useful tutorial by Wool and the Gang. It’s a four row repeat pattern and fairly simple to memorise.
I’m using this lovely cotton Scheepjes yarn. You know how some cotton yarns split when you crochet with them? This one doesn’t!
The other thing I’m working on is my Parallelogram Scarf.
I love working with linen stitch, but haven’t made anything with quite so many colours before. All the yarns are Stylecraft Special DK and ones I already had lying around – bonus!
I love the springtime feel of the colours, a lovely light and colourful antidote to grey January days.
I want it to be quite a bit wider than it is now, but I’m happy with how it’s looking so far!
